Shereen's Story

Shereen's journey with Hired began through the Minnesota Family Investment Program, or MFIP, but it was more than just a program—it was an opportunity for a new and exciting chapter in her life. Having worked in the retail industry for several years, Shereen had a burning desire for change. Her heart was set on a career in customer service, particularly within the medical field. The only thing missing was the guidance and direction to steer her toward her aspirations.

In her journey for a brighter future, Shereen's path converged with Hired, where a transformative moment awaited. Through meetings with her dedicated counselor, she was able work on making her dreams and ambitions a reality. Those conversations were the catalyst that propelled her into the Medical Call Center program. This was where her skills received a fine tuning and she was handed the keys to unlocking her potential, along with a network of job prospects to explore upon completing the course. As Shereen honed her Microsoft Office skills and practiced the art of successful interviews, she was steadily building herself up into the ideal candidate for her chosen career. When she triumphantly graduated from the program, it wasn't just the culmination of her hard work—it was a launchpad to her dreams.

With the unwavering support of her trainers and counselor, the path to potential employers was paved with optimism. Shereen updated her resume to showcase her new skills as she pursued opportunities in the heart of the Twin Cities area. Her dedication paid off when she was welcomed into the ranks of a hospital's customer service team. Looking back, she acknowledged Hired's pivotal role, envisioning a static retail existence without its impact.
