housing resource navigator
The position will establish a relationship with each individual on their caseload and will work with that individual to assess their unique needs, set goals, and sit side-by-side to help navigate resources to overcome barriers and ultimately achieve their goals. This is an AmeriCorps service member position with the AmeriCorps program, Heading Home Corps.

Community Technology Empowerment Project
The Community Technology Empowerment Project (CTEP) AmeriCorps bridges the "digital divide" for new immigrants and low-income communities in Minneapolis and St. Paul. CTEP AmeriCorps members help youth and adults use technology to better access social, civic, educational and economic opportunities.

Gardyartu came to Hired when she was between jobs during the pandemic. At the time, so many things were uncertain. She already had a degree in Engineering CAD Technology and was in the process of finishing her college degree. Gardyartu made a plan to complete college and return to work after graduation. Hired helped with funding for the books and coursework to complete her final semester.
Soon after graduating, Gardyartu landed a job as an operations engineer. “I like it because for a long time I’ve wanted to go into leadership,” she said. “I want to do my best to inspire other people and be a leader.” She plans to pursue graduate education in renewable energy engineering.
Gardyartu was very pleased with her experienced at Hired. “Life is hard,” she said. “But sometimes you get things bigger than what you can imagine.”

The Social Education, Equity, & Inclusion Taskforce (SEE IT) provides opportunities for education and advocacy around equity, access, participation and rights. We set intentional spaces for learning and support on social disparities, and we strive to be part of the change in disrupting systemic injustice and oppression.
