Lily's Story: Advancing With a New Career Path
Lily started working with Hired after she was let go from a previous position and referred by CareerForce. She was hopeful to move into a career with opportunities for growth, rather than just another job to get by.
Hired staff worked with Lily on updating her resume and helped improve her computer and typing skills. She practiced interviewing through multiple mock interviews with Hired and worked diligently to improve her confidence.
Upon graduating from the Medical Call Center training, Lily began applying to new jobs with Hired’s support, but one lead came along that stuck out above the rest – a position with MNsure.
Lily started her new, full-time position with MNsure in November 2019 at $19.17/hour. After just two short months, Lily was offered the position permanently as she continued to impress her supervisors. Since starting her new career, she has been nominated employee of the month, made it into “The 100 Club” for perfect call scores, received her first raise, and recognized for her empathetic attitude. To top it all off, when the pandemic hit, Lily was able to continue working the same position from home.
