Boe: Success With the Youth Program

Boe is an 18-year-old youth participant being supported by Hired Employment Counselor Terrell with food and supplies during the coronavirus pandemic.

One day, Boe insisted that Terrell return after to his house after dropping off supplies for his other participants. When Terrell came back, he found a bag left for him in Boe’s driveway. Inside the bag was a Karen flag. When Terrell called Boe, Boe told Terrell, “You are my family. You do so much for me and in our culture we show appreciation and look out for each other.”

Terrell was so grateful for the gift, “It was one of the best feelings I’ve felt in a long time,”  Hired counselors continue to do amazing work day in and day out–never faltering even during the pandemic.
