Standing for Humanity: Statement of Solidary with Asian Communities

Hired believes in the humanity of all people: that all people have the right to live free of hatred and violence. The racial violence that took place in Atlanta last week is intolerable and counter to everything Hired believes and stands for.

The spa shootings followed the trajectory of increased reports of violence against Asian Americans since former President Trump described COVID-19 in racist terms. According to a United Nations Report, between March and May of 2020, more than 1,800 racialized incidents against Asian Americans were reported (Source: CBS News).

Hired stands firm against racism against all BIPOC communities, in all its manifestations. We are dedicated to changing the systems that perpetuate violence against Asian Americans. We will address racism in ourselves, our friends, our family, our workplaces, and our communities. We will address racism when witnessed to honor the 9 victims:
