Hired’s Key Services
Our work centers on one thing: helping people prepare for and secure good jobs that can sustain a family. Regardless of the program, we provide three key services to support individuals in their pursuit of a stable career.
Individual Employment Coaching and Support:
Support from a professional career coach to identify your skills and career goals, update your resume, refresh interviewing techniques, identify job leads and connect with hiring employers.
Career Training and Skill Development:
Free workshops and trainings that build in-demand skills, lead to certifications, and help you prepare for your next job opportunity.
Connections to Resources and Financial Assistance:
For those with limited financial resources, Hired can support key expenses and provide connections to other resources.
Serving All Ages and Stages of Career Development
We work with individuals who are beginning to think about a career to those who have 30+ years of experience. Hired’s employment counselors walk alongside program participants, serving as coaches, navigators, connectors, and trainers. We help people overcome hurdles that can hinder progress toward getting a job and building a career.
Program enrollment may depend on city of residence, employment status and household income.
Youth and young adults
We help young people 16-24 years of age overcome barriers to education and employment and prepare for promising careers. About 20% of those we serve are young job seekers.
unemployed or underemployed Individuals
We support jobseekers who are unemployed or underemployed to build confidence, learn new skills, and gain employment. We provide support to those who have lost their jobs due to know fault of their own.
families receiving public support
We work with families in the Minnesota Family Investment Program so they can find stability and progress toward employment.
